MAMBURAO, OCCIDENTAL MINDORO- Two active members of the Terrorist Group New People’s Army (NPA) voluntarily surrendered to our soldiers from 76th Infantry (VICTRIX) Battalion led by LTC WILLIAM O ROMERO INF (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer under 203rd (Peace Guard) Brigade, 2ID, Philippine Army in the leadership of BGEN JOSE AUGUSTO V VILLAREAL, 203rd Brigade Commander of this only February 21 present year in Sitio Kabilogan, Brgy San Vicente, Abra de Ilog, Occidental Mindoro.
Meet Ben Malatipan aka @RENE, twenty-four years old (24), resident of Brgy San Vicente, Abra de Ilog, Occidental Mindoro, Mylene Alhasang aka @MYLENE, seventeen years old (17), resident of brgy manoot, Rizal, Occidental mindoro members of Regional Operation Command (ROC), Southern Tagalog, Regional Party Committee (STRPC) and belong to the Iraya and Tau-Buhid tribe.
According to @RENE and @MYLENE, they experienced lack of sleep, fatigue and hunger inside the movement so they decided to surrender to our soldiers that Barangay Task Force ELCAC of Brgy San Vicente, Abra De Ilog, Occidental Mindoro under the leadership of Hon. Sebastian TaƱo, Brgy Chairman to hand them over to the authorities.
Currently, the former rebels are now in the custody of 76IB and with the initiative of LTC ROMERO, our troops immediately contacted PSWDO Occidental Mindoro and LGUs in the area to process the benefits they will receive from E-CLIP.
