A 45-min running gun battle ensued between the elements of the army’s 36th Infantry (Valor) Battalion and more or less 30-armed group believed to be members of the Platoon 1, Weakened Guerilla Front (WGF30) of the North Eastern Mindanao Regional Committee (NEMRC) under @ Nico (TN) Joel Maca Mahinay.
