Mati City, Davao Oriental - The 701st Infantry “Kagitingan” Brigade once again attended a Limitless Youth Summit dubbed as "Kalinow", at Davao Oriental State University (DORSU) on 05-06 July 2023.
The activity is organized by Global Impact headed by Pastor Amy Muranko Gahan, a non-government organization and Davao Oriental State University. The activity aims to promote awareness against human trafficking and youth recruitment done by the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) from the youth and women sector in the urban area.
Participants are students who hailed from different towns of the province of Davao Oriental and nearby provinces totaling more or less four hundred (400) individuals.
The 701st Brigade Commander, BGEN OLIVER C MAQUILING PA shared his experiences and expressed that the role of the youth, especially the students, is to focus on their studies. "The way to greatly empower yourselves as a student is by focusing on your studies. The degree that you will finish will capacitate you to become productive citizens of our country. Let us not be distracted by joining organizations such as the communist-inspired movements which will only imperil your bright future," BGen Maquiling emphasized.
