A Training Workshop on Writing News and Peace Messages in Support of the MNLF-MILF Convergence started yesterday here at Casa Leticia Boutique Hotel, Davao City.
The participating Bangsamoro Writers came from the Bangsamoro Transition Commission (BTC), Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF Misuari and Jikiri Factions), Bangsamoro Leadership and Management Institute (BLMI), Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA, and representatives from Moro non-government agencies.`
The training workshop is sponsored by the Australian Aid (Aus Aid) and The Asia Foundation (TAF).
Veteran Moro Journalist Mr. Nash Maulana who writes for the Mindanao Cross, the Philippine Daily Inquirer, and Philippine Standard is the main resource person.
He started his presentation on how to develop a news story. He stressed the incorporation in a news story of AGE (Acquired Facts, Gathered Facts, and Established Facts) to get the attention and interest of readers.
As of this writing, the participants are engage in a workshop on how to write a developing story for presentation, and possible critiquing to be able to improve their output.
The training workshop will culminate tomorrow.
