IMPASUGONG, Bukidnon (DWDD) – The 8th Infantry “Dependable” Battalion aids in the two-day delivery of government services to the people in Barangay Kalabugao and Hagpa, both of Impasugong which started November 14.
As part of the Armed Forces commitment and dedication to be of service, soldiers extend its helping hand and reach out to people thru its Community Support Program wherein the military performs tasks other than protecting the nation.
The Dependable Troopers of the 8th Infantry Battalion, together with the dental team from 4th Infantry Division, aided in the delivery of basic services of the Local Government Unit of Impasugong headed by the Municipal Mayor himself, Hon. Anthony A. Uy, which started yesterday in Barangay Kalabugao and in Barangay Hagpa on the following day.
More than a thousand people benefited from the services which the LGU, different agencies, the AFP and other stakeholders have provided.
For so long, the Armed Forces have been defending and protecting the people of this country, with no regard of the risks which they are about to take in order to secure peace and development.
Now, the Armed Forces took the leap, performing tasks outside their scope and providing services other than security. 8IB/MCAG
