CAMP GEN SERVILLANO AQUINO, Tarlac City (DWDD) – Another occurred encounter between Troops from the AFP Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM) and NPA Communist Terrorists in the province of Nueva Vizcaya afternoon of November 14, 2017.
At 1:15 PM, November 14, 2017, while conducting sustained combat operation in Sitio Buebe, Brgy, Sanguit, Dupax Del Sur, troops of the 72nd Division Reconnaissance Company under the 7th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army encountered about seven (7) New People’s Army (NPAs) under Nueva Vizcaya-Quirino (FOC Venerando Villacillo Command) operating in the boundary of Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino Provinces.
A ten (10) minute firefight ensued resulting to the recovery of two (2) M14 rifles with two (2) magazines, fifteen (15) rounds of ammunitions and a plastic bag containing their foodstuffs. The enemy withdrew towards North East Direction.
Meanwhile, additional troops were inserted in the area purposely to conduct pursuit operations to the withdrawing dissidents. The relentless conduct of NOLCOM troopers keep the enemy outbalanced preventing them to engage in hostile activities in the area. NOLCOM/MCAG
