Posted to Kalinaw News (May 9, 2021): Army continues its Peace Dialogue in Bukidnon
MAGPET, COTABATO – Army’s 72nd Infantry “Gabay” Battalion (72IB) under the leadership of Lt. Col. Jose C. Regonay Jr. continues its mandate in maintaining peace and order in the Province of Bukidnon. On May 08, 2021, the unit facilitated the conduct of Barangay Peace Dialogue to more or less 300 residents of Brgy Balocbocan, Kitaotao, Bukidnon.
Peace Dialogue aims to enlighten the people with regard to the current propagandas and recruitment of the Communist Terrorist Groups. (CTGS). It aims to awaken the minds and hearts of the residents that supporting and sympathizing CPP-NPA-NDF. It also aims to deliver the programs of the government and the role of the Army as peace builders of the country.
The activity was attended by Hon. Jesus Refulle, Barangay Captain; Hon. Cesar S Jubahib, Barangay Peace and Order; Hon. Lourde Cagumban, Datu IPMR; Lt. Col. Jose C. Regonay Jr., Commander 72IB; NTF-ELCAC Focal Person; Brgy Officials; SK Chairmen; and Troops and Officers of 72IB.
Lt. Col. Regonay, assured that the Army unit will continue to collaborate with the government and Non-Government Agencies in facilitating the implementation of EO70 in the Province of Bukidnon.
