Amadeuz VJ R. Celestial, Civil Military Operations (CMO) officer (S7) of the Army’s 60th Infantry (Mediator) Battallion (60th IB), said.
In a statement sent to The Manila Bulletin on Monday, the 60th IB CMO officer identified the fatality as Jay Mendoza, who was also known as Ka Pogs, and his companion, known only as Ondoy.
They were killed in an exchange of gunfire with government authorities at Mendoza’s safehouse in Laak, ComVal.
