CAMP GONZALO SIONGCO, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao (DWDD) – a shooting incident perpetrated by the outlawed Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) at vicinity So. Buntod, Brgy Limpongo, Datu Hoffer Ampatuan, Maguindanao that resulted to the death of a certain Nestor A. Daingan and Rene S. Usman both farmers from Brgy Limpongo on September 1, 2018 at around 8:45 in the morning.
The perpetrators were believed to be the group of Jai Abubakar and Boy Sarong all under @ Khadafy Adbulatip of BIFF Bungos faction.
The cadavers were brought to Brgy Limpongo for proper disposition and was immediately secured by the troops from Bagong Patrol Base.
That at around 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon, the group of Jai Abubakar and Boy Sarong with more or less 40 fully armed men burned two houses at vicinity So. Talib, Brgy Kumbintong of same town owned by Tidurays in the area.
After the incident, the group of Jai Abubakar was sited in Brgy Kumbintong that prompted the Joint Task Force Central to take appropriate security measures pushing the terror group to flee towards the mountainous part of Brgy Macalag.
“Our thoughts and prayers as we share in this time of grief of our Tiduray brothers who been abused by BIFF.” Joint Task Force Central Commander Brigadier General Cirilito E. Sobejana said.
“We condemn the criminal and barbaric acts of the BIFF in the said community who been living peacefully, to preserved their cultures, traditions and their ancestral homelands.”
