From DWDD AFP Civil Relations Service Radio Website (Sep 5): NOLCOM Troops clash with NPA terrorist in Aurora
CAMP GEN SERVILLANO AQUINO, Tarlac City (DWDD) – Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM) troopers of the 91st Infantry “Sinagtala” Battalion (91IB) from Joint Task Force “Kaugnay” while conducting combat operations, encountered more or less twenty (20) members of the Communist New People’s Army Terrorists Group (CNTG) at around 3:35 in the afternoon of September 2, 2018 (Sunday) in the province of Aurora in Brgy Villa, Maria Aurora.
The firefight lasted for about forty-five (45) minutes resulting to two (2) casualties from the enemy’s side and recovery of two (2) firearms, and some of enemy personal belongings. No reported casualties from the military forces. One of the enemy cadavers was washed away by the river due to strong current while the other cadaver was brought and turned over to the Barangay Captain of said barangay.
