NEW BATAAN, Compostela Valley Province (DWDD) – @ Randy is a bomb expert who have been instrumental in the training and deployment of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in the area of 66th Infantry Battalion. @Richard is a trained designated sniper of then Guerilla Front 25 responsible for using available sniper rifles during several encounters with the troops as well as training other members in sniping.
The two regular NPA members surrendered to the 66IB, 10ID for fear of being killed due to the relentless combat operations conducted by the Battalion. They certainly knew that the troops and their former comrades who earlier surrendered and became members of the CAFGU will soon catch up with them and lead to their neutralization if they do not surrender. 66IB opened its doors in the name of peace.
The duo revealed that they buried two motorcycles which they have been using in laying IEDs together with their former leader, @cyclone. Same motorbikes were used when they bombed Colapugon Detachment in Barangay Maparat earlier this year. Troops were able to capture the two motorcycles; one motorstar and one Kawasaki Baja. Buried with the Kawasaki motorbike was a bag with 6 blasting caps and wires for IEDs.
Very soon, Section Committee 25 of the SRC1 of Southern Mindanao Regional Committee will meet its end. The remaining members are now realizing their mistakes in believing those who recruited them, the disillusion and the fraud.
