PATIKUL, Sulu (DWDD) – Government Forces angaged members of a Local Teror Group yesterday, August 23, 2018, at Barangay Langhub in Patikul, Sulu.
According to the progress report reaching the AFP Western Mindnao Command (WESTMINCOM), twenty-two (22) soldiers were Wounded-in-Action (WIA) in the on-going firefight.
Seven of the wounded soldiers are confined at Camp Navarro General Hospital while the other fifteen (15) is confined at Kuta Heneral Teodolfo Bautista Station Hospital.
The enemy has incurred one killed and an undetermined number of wounded..
Currently, the 21st Infantry “Invincible” Battalion has established blocking position in Barangay Bungkaong; the 2nd Special Forces Battalion (2SFBN) established blocking/ambush position at the vicinity of Pigih Dajo,, while the 5th Scout Ranger Battalion (5SRB) established an ambush position in Bgy Pantao in Talipao, Sulu.
