From DWDD AFP Civil Relations Service Radio Website (Aug 23): MASS SUPPORT | Aguisan Fisherfolks Association Pledge to Uphold Peace in Himamaylan City
HIMAMAYLAN CITY, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL- Major Udgie C Villan (INF) PA, Acting Commanding Officer of 3rd Civil-Military Operations Battalion (3CMOBn), 3rd Infantry Spearhead) Division, Philippine Army together with 1LT Juvellycem V Baguin (INF) PA, Commanding Officer of 33rd CMO Company led the signing of Peace Covenant by the members of Aguisan Fisherfolks Association (AFA), Aguisan Small Fisherfolks Association (ASFA) at Brgy. Aguisan on August 21, 2018.
Prior to the signing of Peace Covenant, a coastal clean-up effort was conducted by the participating group composed of said two associations, Philippine Army, Philippine National Police and Philippine Coast Guard.
Other than AFA and ASFA members, enjoined to pledge and sign the Peace Covenant were Brgy. Officials and residents of Brgy. Aguisan.
PO1 Hospicio Tolerance, Philippine Coast Guard, PO2 Rhundy Narillo, PCR, PNCO, Himamaylan City Police, Pastor Cesar Vicente Calo-oy of Seventh Day Adventist and Hon. Benjie Tan, Committee on Peace and Order also participated and signed for the Peace Covenant.
The members of AFA, ASFA and residents of said barangay pledged to ensure that they and their associations will collectively support peace and progress, respect the constitution, laws of the Philippines, uplift the rights of every person, and vowed to stop and fight against any violence or threats that may provoke on their barangay. #3CMOBn / 3DPAO / MCAG
