CAMP CRAME, Quezon City (DWDD) – Muhammad Ilham Syahputra, the Indonesian terrorist, caught in Marawi was formally presented to media this Morning, November 6, by Philippine National Police Chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa.
Syahptura made a lot of revelation during interrogation but most of it was not made public by Dir Gen Dela Rosa for security reasons, except for the fact that “Aimen Baco” is now the recognized leader of Daesh in Southeast Asia after the death of Isnilon Hapilon. Baco is stil believed to be hiding in Marawi.
It was also explained that Syahaphutra’s Deportation Documents” are ready but he cannot be immediately deported to Indonesia because was already placed under “inquest” in the Philippines and he has to face tons of cases in connection with the Marawi siege.
He also added that there is an estimated 30 Maute terrorist remaining in Maraw with three foreign fighter in the main battle area, composed of one Malaysian and two Indonesian, and their family members.
The Armed Forces of the Philippines believes this number has dwindled after casualties were noted in the past weeks of clearing operations. AES/Photo and Video by ALS
