CAMP CRAME, Quezon City (DWDD) – Joint operatives of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and Philippine National Police conducted operation against a member of a local terrorist group at 8017 Steele Makers Village, Tubod Iligan City.
According to P C Supt Tim Pacleb, PNP Region 10 Director, at 9:30 AM on November 5, a Joint Operations of the Iligan City Police Office (ICPO), AFP Intelligence agents, Criminal Investigation and Detection Team – Lanao, 4th Mechanized Infantry Battalion and 103rd Special Action Company arrested Minhati Madrais alias Baby, the Indonesian wife of Omar Khayam Maute.
Authorities recovered the following bomb-making materials from the house: 4 blasting cap, 2 detonating cord and 1 time fuse. Madrais was also holding an expired Indonesian passport.
The suspect and her six (6) children: 4 girls and 2 boys are now temporarily in the custody and protection of the Iligan City Police Office for proper disposition. The ICPO is also coordinating with the City Social Welfare Office for the proper care and custody of the children. AES/ALS
