BISLIG CITY, Surigao del Sur – Camp Jaime N Ferrer Sr, Brgy Maharlika, Bislig City (Stn) – The Headquarters and Headquarters “Hunter”, Bravo “Bluefox” and Delta “Defender” Companies of the
75th Infantry “Marauder” Battalion installs new Company Commanders to assume post during the turnover ceremony held at this unit and subsequently at the Bravo “Bluefox” Company, 75IB, 4ID, PA, on August 08, 2019, Thursday.
Another challenge accepted when 2Lt Jay Santiago formally assumed the command of the Delta “Defender” Company that had been relinquished by the former company Commander 1Lt John Maverick Arangoso which then assumed the command of the Headquarters and Headquarters “Hunter” Company (HHCo) during the turnover ceremony. 1Lt Gawdale Chocen Gemeniano, the former Company Commander of the Headquarters and Headquarters “Hunter” Company (HHCo) relinquished and passed the command to 1Lt John Maverick Arangoso as the new Company Commander of the said Company.
Meanwhile, 1Lt Giovanni Garcia, the former Company Commander of Bravo “Bluefox” Company got his new designation in the Battalion and
relinquished the leadership and passed it to 1Lt Gawdale Chocen Gemeniano and assumed the command as the new Company Commander of the said company. The turnover ceremony was presided by L.t Col. Jaime R Datuin, Commanding Officer of the 75IB.
1Lt Gawdale Chocen Gemeniano a.k.a DELUBYO in his acceptance message in the assumption of command of the Bravo “Bluefox” Company expressed his gratitude to the Battalion Commander,
Lt. Col. Datuin for giving him the trust and confidence to lead the company and he said, “I will accept the challenge! Give me two weeks to capture @JORLAN and his men dead or alive. As we will be dismantling the Weakened Guerilla Front 14, North Eastern Mindanao Regional Committee (WGF14-NEMRC) the soonest possible time.” 1Lt Gemeniano ended. Following the intent of the Battalion Commander to dismantle the WGF14-NEMRC to end the insurgency in his Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Moreover, 1Lt Garcia, 1Lt Arangoso and 2Lt Santiago also expressed their gratitude to the Battalion Commander of the 75IB, Lt. Col. Datuin for entrusting them to lead the men and the company for the mission accomplishment of the unit.
This military tradition represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility to ensures that the unit and its soldiers are never without official leadership, a continuation of trust and it signifies an allegiance of soldiers to their unit’s commander.
Also, Lt. Col. Jaime R Datuin, Commanding Officer of 75IB expressed his gratitude to the new Company Commanders of the line companies of the said unit. “I believe in the capability you have in leading the troops and the company itself. The experience you had and the type of leadership I’ve shown in pushing you all to strive more to be the standard leader of the Philippine Army will be your stepping stone in leading your troops for the unit’s mission.” Datuin ended.
