CAMP BUNAWAN, COLUMBIO, SULTAN KUDARAT--During a joint BIAF 109th Base Command- Bunawan Municipal PolCom Bangsamoro Symposium held in this town on March 11, Hajji Abas Bukol, 109th Base Commander emphasized in his message that, “This Symposium is the consolidation of series of Bangsamoro Symposia sponsored by the three deputies of 109th Base Command in partnership with the MILF Damakling Political Committee.”
“Our aim is to help level off our understanding about the gains of the GPH-MILF Peace Process where all BIAF members must serve as a role model in performing their task so that they can strengthen the support of the masses for the immediate passage of the new Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL)
Hay‘atul Ulama-Branch 6 Chairman Sheikh Abdulfatah Delna in his message urged the participants to strengthen their support to the MILF leadership thereby preserving the gains of the Moro political struggle.
“We must unite, and strengthen our relationship as Muslim brothers; open our minds to fully understand the real situation of Bangsamoro agenda in the Mindanao peace process.”
Guest speaker Professor Esmael A. Abdula, Training Officer of the Bangsamoro Leadership and Management Institute (BLMI) and President of Kalilintad Peacebuilding Institute (KPI) described the “Comprehensive Agreement on Bangsamoro (CAB) as a political document signed by the GPH and the MILF Peace Panels purposely to end decades of armed conflict in Mindanao.”

“The Bangsamoro people aspire to have their own government that reflects their culture, belief, customs, and tradition”, Abdula added.
Abdula said that a CAB-Compliant Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) is the best solution to normalize Mindanao situation where the Bangsamoros suffered for a long time due to armed conflict.
