From the Philippine Information Agency (Nov 5, 2019): Calbayog Task Force to end insurgency thru Retooled Community Support Program
TACLOBAN CITY, Nov. 5 (PIA) -- The Calbayog City Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (CTF-ELCAC) hopes to end insurgency and achieve inclusive and lasting peace through the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP).
The RCSP was designed for a corvergence team to immerse in a community in order to know first hand the conditions of the communities, where government workers themselves listen and take action to lessen the community concerns and problems.
Lt. Col. Raymundo C. Picut Jr., Commanding officer of the 43IB, 8ID, PA, who recently attended the Convergence Meeting of the Calbayog CTF-ELCAC at Calbayog City, Samar said this is in support to the Executive Order 70 issued by President Rodrigo R. Duterte in order to institutionalized the Whole-of-Nation Approach in attaining inclusive and sustainable peace in the country.
The said meeting was attended by the different Local Government Agencies such DILG, PNP, BFP, TESDA, DAR, DEPED, BJMP, and a representative from the City General Services Office.
The said meeting aimed to get updates in the implementation of EO 70 towards achieving the goal of enduring peace in Calbayog City through cooperation and consultation among all agencies of the City government.
Particularly, the meeting the meeting tackled the implementation of RCSP and its operational framework through multi-sectoral and community based effort, Lt. Col. Picut, said. (PIA-8 with report from 43IB, 8ID, PA)
