Statement of Brigadier General Benedict Arevalo, 303rd Brigade Commander on the statements of Colmenares and Zarate
Colmenares, Zarate and their cohorts should stop lying and playing dumb right now! They are the ones who need to have a lot of explaining to do to the people especially to the parents of the minors found in the offices of Bayan, Gabriela, KMU and Anakpawis.
Why these children were taken away from their families for so many months under the cloak of deception? In the guise of practicing for a cultural presentation while in fact they were indoctrinated and taught NPA skills.
Why is it that Colmenares, Zarate and their cohorts seem to be the last people in the world who do not know that their organizations are supporting the CPP-NPA?
It is either they are lying or hallucinating!
The people are asking if they really know or not, that their organizations are supporting the CPP-NPA. And I challenge them to answer that in public instead of blabbering their usual red-tagging alibi.
The people wants to hear from their mouths if they really know or not. The people demands a truthful answer.
I condemn Colmenares, a Negrense himself, for trying to make fools out of the people of Negros. He should not insult the intellect of the Negrense. People like him are the ones encouraging the NPAs here to do atrocities and violence against the people and endangering even the members of their organizations, just like what happened in “Sagay 9”.
While Colmenares was so quick in pointing the blame to the government, it was in fact the machinations and deceptions of the CPP-NPA-NDF.
He should be ashamed of himself as a Negrense!
I urge the people in Negros to be wary of him and his organizations. Do not be deceived by their fake advocacies or you may find yourselves in the harms way as they try to lure several of their members to join or support the NPA just like what happened in the recent apprehensions.
Colmenares, Zarate et al, stop your pretentions, deceptions and lies!
Negrenses don’t be fooled by these great pretenders!
God save our children from Colmenares, Zarate and their cohorts!
