From DWDD AFP Civil Relations Service Radio Website (May 22): ENHANCED CAPABILITIES | PA conducts Cyber Security Subject Matter Exchange with USARPAC
FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army conducted the Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE) with the United States Army Pacific on May 14 to 18, 2018 at the NCO Clubhouse, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.
This year SMEE is a continuation of the cybersecurity efforts of the two armies to enhance capabilities in cyberspace operations which was first held in 2017 at Fort Shafter Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.
During the conduct of the activity, the experts provided lectures and exercises focused on various areas such as Incident Response Operations during cyber-attacks. There was also a Vulnerability Assessment Penetration Testing (VAST) to evaluate the level of readiness and compliance of the Philippine Army critical information infrastructure. A total of 9 officers and 43 enlisted personnel from the Philippine Army and other branches of service were present during the activity.
Through the SMEE, the Philippine Army aims to promote and enhance the cybersecurity culture in the organization in line with its vision to be we world-class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028. OACPA / MCAG
