From the Philippine Information Agency (May 22): Army honors outstanding soldiers, stakeholders
CAMP MELCHOR DELA CRUZ, GAMU, Isabela -- The Philippine Army’s 5th Infantry Division based in this province recently recognized the significant contributions of selected military, civilian personnel and partners during its 37th founding anniversary celebration.
Army Capt. Jefferson Somera, 5th ID public affairs officer, said the annual recognition is one of their ways to thank and honor the exemplary contribution of their soldiers, civilian employees and stakeholders who had exhibited courage and heroism in the attainment of the division’s mission and peace and development campaigns.
Among the recognized soldiers are 1st Lt. John Chester Dalit as Best Junior Officer; Staff Sgt. Cyrill Pacad as Best Enlisted Personnel of the Year; Miguel Baliao as Best CAFGU Active Auxiliary; and Emmanuel Cauilan Jr. as Best Civilian Employee of the Year.
Stakeholders from various sectors who also received recognition for extending their support to the army division include Atty. Efren Beleno, Dr. Regina Munda Cruz, San Guillermo Mayor Marilou Sanchez, Mr. Marcelo Lingawon and PS/Supt. Gregory Bognalbal.
Maj. Gen. Perfecto Rimando Jr, 5th ID commanding officer, thanked all the awardees in their untiring support particularly in promoting the division’s programs and activities in its area of operations.
Meanwhile, Rimando challenged his soldiers to continue serve the Filipino people and secure the motherland.
