Kalinaw News: 48IB Participates in DILG’s Documentation of Beneficiary Barangays Prior SBDP Implementation

Pantukan, Davao de Oro – The 48th Infantry (Guardians) Battalion participates in the Department of Interior and Local Government’s (DILG) documentation of beneficiary barangays prior to implementation of Support to Barangay Development Program (SBDP) in Barangay Napnapan and Brgy Magnaga all of Pantukan, Davao de Oro on June 25, 2021.

Barangay Napnapan and Barangay Magnaga will receive 20 Million each worth of fund under SBDP after they have been declared as cleared barangays and is ready for further development. Upgrading/improvement of Farm to Market Road (FMR): Local Access Road is the SBDP Project of both barangays. DILG DDO Provincial Director Noel C. Duarte embraced the event together with Pantukan LGU Officer-In-Charge Hon. Cathy Pangan. Representatives from the Philippine National Police, Regional Mobile Force Battalion, Special Action Force, Municipal Information Office, Municipal Engineering Office, and respective Barangay Officials were also present. 48IB Civil-Military Operations Officer 1LT Kinley S. Cocjin represented the Army’s 48IB.

“Aside kaning programa naa pud ta E-CLIP Program nga kung kinsa pay naay mga paryente, igsoon, silingan, ginikanan nga naa pa sa bukid ako ng hangyoon musurrender kay kita sa DILG muhatag tag livelihood assistance, si Gov naa immediate assistance and dili lang kana atung friendly agencies sa Philippine Army, Philippine National Police, Provincial Government mufacilitate kung gusto mo muskwela, kung wala moy pangskwela tabangan mu namu,” said Provincial Director Duarte.

Lieutenant Colonel Enrique G. Rafael, 48IB Commanding Officer extends his sincerest congratulations to the Local and Provincial Government for the efforts in making SBDP possible. He emphasized that security and development always interplay and the local populace played an important role and they are instrumental in making the said barangays declared as clear and now ready for further development. He also stressed that through the whole of government approach, success in implementing these projects is possible.
