The school believes that it is the right of an individual soldier to recieve the necessary and quality training before deployment to combat duty following the basic concepts: the dignity of individual is not violated; given proper leadership and training an ordinary men and women can become effective soldiers of 4ID.
Meanwhile military discipline and drills are found to be of great assistance in preserving good government. Holding the students to sharpen their intellectual faculties through obedience and respect to proper authority helps develop the rarest and most precious gift which mark the noblest type of men “The Power of self-control”.
The strict training does not guarantee that every graduate will excel in character building and moral value. However, the school continually imposes to the students the lessons of truthfulness, honor, self-restraint, moral tone, duty and patriotism, while health and vigor were given of equal importance to make them less inclined to vicious habits.
The 193 new CS, composed of 153 males and 40 females, have been subjected to a 21-day mandatory quarantine prior to training. They will undergo four months of rigorious training where they will acquire basic military skills needed for their field duty. It can also be noted that this will be the first time that the 4DTS will cater female CS trainees instead of sending them to the nearest training school in 6DTS in Carmen, North Cotabato.
