He lauded the boldness of troops under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Frederick M. Sales, Commanding Officer of 3rd Scout Ranger Battalion and the audacious command of Brigadier General Antonio G. Nafarrete PA, the Commander of 1101st Infantry Brigade who clashed in three series of encounters with the Abu Sayyaf Group outlaws under Radullan Sahiron and Hajan Sawadjaan at Sitio Libug Wani, Barangay Bakung; Sitio Lumbaan, Barangay Buhanginan; and Sitio Bakud Uwak, Barangay Tanum in the Municipality of Patikul, Sulu on June 6, 2020.
“The bravery that you exhibited during the security operations for the people of Sulu is incomparable,” Major General Vinluan said. He likewise acclaimed the swift execution of his highly trained soldiers that greatly contributed to the step by step accomplishment of the Organization’s Campaign. “Continue to be the best of who you are for others to set as an example. I am proud of the efforts that you have rendered.” he added.
