AFP Chief of Staff General Benjamin Madrigal Jr. personally handed the cash rewards amounting to Php14,250,000 to five informants in a ceremony held last Friday, August 16 in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
According to the AFP, through the information shared by tipsters, five CPP-NPA Terrorist (CNT) leaders were either killed or arrested in law enforcement operations conducted by the AFP in coordination with the Philippine National Police (PNP). The high value targets were wanted for crimes such as multiple murder and rebellion.
The AFP gives monetary reward to any person who furnishes information leading to the surrender, arrest, capture or neutralization of wanted persons involved in several grave offenses such as murder, kidnap for ransom, and other heinous crimes.
Meanwhile, the AFP calls for the continuous cooperation of the people towards peace, security and the fight against terrorism. (PIA InfoComm/AFP)
