Operatives of the Joint Task Group Sulu have recovered the
alleged headless body of Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) Malaysian kidnap victim
Berrnard Then Ted Fen during operations in Parang town, Sulu Monday evening.
Brig. Gen. Alan Arrojado, Joint Task Group Sulu commander,
said recovery of the beheaded body took place at 10 p.m. in the vicinity of
Sitio Lungon-Lungon, Barangay Lanao Dakula, Parang.
When asked on who helped them locate the body, Arrojado said
that "it is our moral responsibility to locate and give it to the family
(of) the victim."
Arrojado said the remains were immediately transported to
the Kutang Heneral Teodulfo
Bautista Trauma
Hospital in Jolo for
processing.
Ted Fen was abducted together with Thien Nyuk Fun last May
14 in Sandakan , Malaysia by Sulu-based ASGs.
It is believed that the victim was beheaded last Nov. 17 by
captors headed by Alhabsy Misaya and Idang Susukan.
His head was later found placed inside a sack in Barangay Walled City ,
Jolo, Sulu.
