FORT ANDRES BONIFACIO, Taguig City (DWDD) – The Philippine Army celebrates its 119th Founding Anniversary, March 22, 2016 in a ceremony at the Headquarters Philippine Army in Fort Andres Bonifacio, Taguig City.
The celebration is led by Lt Gen Eduardo Año, Commanding General of the Philippine Army with this year’s theme “Serving the People, Securing the Land.”
President and Armed Force of the Philippines Commander-in-Chief Benigno Aquino III is the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
Recognition was feted select officers, enlisted personnel, stakeholders, Cafgus, Cadets and civilian employees of the organization.
Lt Col Wilfredo B Manalang III (MI) PA, Chief of the Strategy Evaluation Branch, Army Governance and Strategy Management Office, Philippine Army, native of New Matina, Davao City will be awarded a Military Achievement Medal for extraordinary and distinguished service as Chief, Strategy Evaluation Branch of the Philippine Army AGSMO who took the lead in the Island of Good Governance certification such as the personal scorecard internal audit, third-party audit, preparations before and during the public revalidation that resulted to the successful completion and accomplishment of the requirements for the army’s participation in the IGG Initiative and was recognized as an IGG during the closing ceremonies of the Public Governance Forum at the Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay City on 21 October 2015.
