FORT ANDRES BONIFACIO, Taguig City (DWDD) – The Philippine Army celebrates its 119th Founding Anniversary, March 22, 2016 in a ceremony at the Headquarters Philippine Army in Fort Andres Bonifacio, Taguig City.
The celebration is led by Lt Gen Eduardo Año, Commanding General of the Philippine Army with this year’s theme “Serving the People, Securing the Land.”
President and Armed Force of the Philippines Commander-in-Chief Benigno Aquino III is the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
Recognition was feted select officers, enlisted personnel, stakeholders, Cafgus, Cadets and civilian employees of the organization.
1Lt Dionizer Mark O Delos Santos (INF) PA, member of PMA Class 2008, a native of Carell, Davao Oriental and an Intelligence Officer of the 41at Infantry Battalion under the 5th Infantry Division will be awarded the Distinguished Conduct Star for acts of conspicuous courage and gallantry in action as Platoon leader of Scout Platoon 41st IB, 5ID, PA during series of encounters against 70 bandits which resulted to the neutralization of 6 New People’s Army members and the recovery of 11-High Powered Firearms, 1-Low Powered Firearm, 1-laptop, 1-Generator Set, 3-handheld radios, 1-cellphone and subversive documents with high Intel value on 04 September 14.
