FORT ANDRES BONIFACIO, Taguig City (DWDD) – The Philippine Army celebrates its 119th Founding Anniversary, March 22, 2016 in a ceremony at the Headquarters Philippine Army in Fort Andres Bonifacio, Taguig City.

The celebration is led by Lt Gen Eduardo Año, Commanding General of the Philippine Army with this year’s theme “Serving the People, Securing the Land.”

President and Armed Force of the Philippines Commander-in-Chief Benigno Aquino III is the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

Recognition was feted select officers, enlisted personnel, stakeholders, Cafgus, Cadets and civilian employees of the organization.

Col Francisco D Millare (INF) GSC PA, current Commanding Officer of the  77th Infantry Battalion under the 5th Infantry Division, native of Tumawini, Isabela, will be awarded an Outstanding Achievement Medal for extraordinary  and distinguished service rendered as Commanding Officer, 77IB (Cadre), 5ID, PA  who established  the Diversified  Organic Farming and Waste Management  Systems composed of vegetable production, multi-storey cropping, free range chicken and swine production, vermi-culture, rain water harvesting reservoir and Ecological composting Receptacle (ECR) Technology. The project is the only “Organic Farm” in the entire Philippine Army certified by UP Los Baños, Laguna in 18 February 2015. AES / MCAG
