FORT ANDRES BONIFACIO, Taguig City (DWDD) – The Philippine Army celebrates its 119th Founding Anniversary, March 22, 2016 in a ceremony at the Headquarters Philippine Army in Fort Andres Bonifacio, Taguig City.
The celebration is led by Lt Gen Eduardo Año, Commanding General of the Philippine Army with this year’s theme “Serving the People, Securing the Land.”
President and Armed Force of the Philippines Commander-in-Chief Benigno Aquino III is the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
Recognition was feted select officers, enlisted personnel, stakeholders, Cafgus, Cadets and civilian employees of the organization.
Colonel Juvymax R Uy (INF) GSC PA, a member of PMA class 89, a native of Kabankalan, Negros Occidental and currently the Commander of Task Force Zamboanga, will be awarded the Philippine Legion of Honor (Degree of Legionnaire) for exceptionally meritorious and valuable service rendered in a position of major responsibility as Group Commander, Intelligence and Security Group, Philippine Army during the actual conduct of extensive and intensive case build-up and intelligence operations on 21 September 2014 to 03 May 2015.
