MEDINA, Misamis Oriental (PIA)--The Local Government of Medina, alongside the 58th Infantry "Dimalulupig" Battalion (58IB) and the 52nd Engineer Support Company (52E), formally opened a new 4.8-kilometer road in Sitio Maanyag, Barangay Tup-on, Medina, June 3.

As part of the Marcos administration’s thrust to bolster the country’s infrastructure and accessibility, the new road seeks to connect the communities in Sitio Maanyag to bolster economic activity and government services.

As one of the collaborating parties in the implementation of the project, the 58IB, represented by its Battalion Executive Officer, Major Keenan Arguelles, spearheaded the Inter-Local Agency Partnership (ILAP) signing, symbolizing a unified declaration of Persona Non-Grata against the atrocities and unlawful acts of the Communist Terrorist Group-New People's Army (CTG-NPA).

Marian Chan, the municipal tourism director for Medina, and Rodrigo Abi, the principal of Tup-on Elementary School, were also present to welcome Sitio Tup-on's new interconnected era toward better educational opportunities and a potential tourism industry. (VPSB/PIA-10/Misamis Oriental)
