IN PHOTOS: The 29th Infantry “Matatag” Battalion (29IB) condemned the communist terrorist group (CTG) for violating the International Humanitarian Law (IHL) by detonating a landmine during an encounter at Sitio Pinamugaan, Brgy. Bangonay, Jabonga, Agusan del Norte on January 10, 2023, resulting in the wounding of their personnel who incurred minor injuries from the shrapnel.The 5-minute encounter transpired after troops responded to information from concerned civilians regarding the extortion and foraging activities of the terrorists, targetting small-scale miners in the hinter areas of Brgy. Bangyonay, Santiago, after which various ammunitions and subversive documents left behind by the fleeing communist terrorist were recovered. Pursuit operations are ongoing.
