Provincial Governor Nelson L. Dayanghirang welcomed Seven (7) Former Rebels (FRs) today July 5, 2021 (Monday) at the Provincial Capitol in a ceremony dubbed as “Pag-uli: Acceptance Ceremony for Returning Rebels.”

Present also in the event were Mr. Orlie A Cabaobao, Provincial Director, DILG Davao Oriental, Ms Sarah Gudes, Provincial Head, PSWDO, Colonel Oliver C Maquiling Inf (GSC) PA, 701st Brigade Commander and Police Major Tesorero, PCR Officer, Davao Oriental Police Provincial Office.

The Governor led the acceptance of seven FRs and handed P100,000 to every surrenderee as cash reward. The tipsters who negotiated for their surrender also received P50,000 each. Also highlighted during the ceremony is the Ultimax Submachine gun which was surrendered by one of the FRs.

The returning rebels will be processed through the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP).
