The spread of radical Islamist ideas is one of the biggest challenges the military has to deal with in Mindanao. This has contributed to the rise of terror groups like the Abu Sayyaf and their subsequent unlawful, violent activities. That's why in Basilan, youth leaders are uniting to prevent the young ones from being influenced and recruited.
