United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) Sultan Kudarat chapter conducted its 1st Provincial meeting and workshop held at BJ’s Restaurant, Tacurong City on October 28, 2015. The activity was attended by different UBJP committees in Sultan Kudarat.
“Whoever
believes in Allah (SWT) would take care of his visitors.” Mohammad Taha
Baladsikan, UBJP Executive Officer of Tacurong City said in his welcome
address.
Ustadz
Haris Guiapal of Palembang
gave the words of wisdom where he emphasized the importance of the various
tasks that were assigned to everyone. “The UBJP was given to us and we have to
do our responsibility since we accepted them.”
He also
encouraged barangay leaders to advise their constituents to register with the
COMELEC so they can vote and help in the struggle.
The
launching of UBJP in Camp Darapanan in 2014 was an avenue at transforming MILF
members from armed combatants to peaceful citizens who can help achieve the
Bangsamoro aspiration for right to self-determination in partnership with the
Government of the Philippines .
The
Framework Agreement on Bangsamoro (FAB) signed in 2012 contains among others,
the formation of a principled political party by the MILF.
Daud
Madaliday, a community leader shared his story in the past where he also fought
and struggled for Bangsamoro freedom. He said “You are lucky that you don’t
need to hide in holding this activity. During our time we have to hold it
secretly, but this time you can do it in public”.
He also
said that a good government must have a good leader, and a good leader should
be a good follower of Islam.
Quraish
Langcap, UBJP Provincial Chief Executive of Sultan Kudarat, gave the overview
of the activity that focused on the functions and tasks of different committees
and identify individuals who are in charge of the various committees.
“With or
without BBL our struggle will continue”. Kris Yano, Executive Secretary of UBJP
Southern Mindanao Region said. He also gave
some updates on the peace process, “We are now in a democratic struggle,
therefore we should participate in dialogue or peace talks as it is also a form
of Jihad”, he added.
Yano also
said that the UBJP had been accredited by the COMELEC. He also urged other
Bangsamoro organizations to help UBJP.
A workshop
followed after the chapter’s meeting to let each committee members know their
specific functions and assigned tasks.
Every
committee presented their workshop outputs and after their presentation,
Langcap did the critiquing and consolidation of their outputs.

A. Manalindo, UBJP Deputy Provincial Chief Executive Officer of Sultan Kudarat,
District I, gave the closing remarks where he thanked all participants
