CAMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro City – In its aim of protecting and securing the future of the young generation, the 4th Infantry “Diamond” Division once again open its doors to the different activities in connection with the National Children’s Month (NCM) celebration with the theme: “Karapatan Pambata: Patuloy na Pahalagahan at Gampanan Tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan this November 2019.

4ID through its “Peaceful War” campaign had long been conducting activities such as Youth Leadership Summit trainings, sports activities, camp tours, static displays and information and education campaigns among others.

Further, various schools from elementary, high school and colleges in Cagayan de Oro City and nearby provinces have also conducted their activities inside 4th ID headquarters and letter requests continue to pour in.

MGen Franco Nemesio Gacal, the Commander of the 4th ID, said “We are happy to continue to open our doors to the public for we want to nurture, educate, empower and protect our children as well as the youth against unscrupulous organizations such as the New People’s Army (NPA), their recruitment and deception schemes.”

“As we continue with the implementation of the Executive Order 70 or the “Whole-of- Nation Approach” in Regions 10 and Caraga, we are nearing with our goal of achievingsustainable peace and development. Children’s future is crucial, we must protect it by all means. Saving our children’s future, is saving the future of our nation” Gacal added.
