From Update.Ph (Feb 12): Air Force C130 deploys for relief ops



The 220th Airlift Wing of the Philippine Air Force immediately responded and provided one of its C130 aircraft to transport relief goods at Butuan airport for the Filipinos affected by magnitude 6.7 earthquake that shook Surigao City last February 10, the Air Force said.

The said airport in Butuan is about 120 kilometers from the center of the affected localities.

 

“The flight sorties commenced on February 12, 2017 to offset the impact brought about by the earthquake,” Air Force said.

The Air Force said approximately 20,000 pounds of relief goods were already delivered in the on-going airlift missions.
