An alleged supporter of the New People’s Army surrendered a hand grenade and a .38 caliber revolver on January 20 in Brgy. Canlusong, EB Magalona, Negros Occidental.

The surrender of Amado Cuesta, 60, of Purok Tinago, Brgy. Daga, Cadiz City, was facilitated by the EB Magalona police headed by PMaj. Kenneth Jay Gratones, Regional Intelligence Unit 6, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, Silay City Police Station, and 79th Infantry Battalion.

Police investigations showed that Cuesta is a member of a Communist Front Organization (CFO). He is now under the custody of RIU 6, while the explosive and revolver are now in the possession of EB Magalona Police Station.
