The Police Regional Office in Central Luzon (PRO-3) got a big boost in its campaign against the communist insurgency and terrorism.
This, after nine regional officers of the Salaam Police Advocacy Group (SPAG) took their oath on Tuesday to become its official partners to maintain peace and order in the region.
The PRO-3, through its Regional Community Affairs and Development Division, administered the oathtaking of the SPAG police officers in Camp Olivas in the city.
PRO-3 deputy director for administration Brig. Gen. Narciso Domingo asked for the support of the SPAGs in their fight against criminalities.
Ako po ay naniniwala na kapag sama-sama, kayang-kaya (Please continue to join us in this fight so that we can attain successfully our desired peace and thus achieve our goal of progress not only for ourselves but also for the next generation. I believe that we can do it if we are together),” Domingo said in his message.
The new SPAG regional officers, meanwhile, vowed their commitment to support the ongoing campaign of PRO-3 not only against the communist insurgency but also in illegal drugs, extremist terrorism, and disaster mitigation.
”It is high time for able Muslims to participate in this volunteerism effort to achieve the long-awaited dream of peace and tranquility,” SPAG national spokesperson and Central Luzon chapter president Kamar Sabdulla said in his message.
I am hoping that my colleagues who were elected and designated for their duties in the SPAG will do their best and fulfill the regulations of the Salaam Police Center under the Director for Police and Community Relations),” Sabdulla said.
He asked the officers and members of the police force for their sincere and strong cooperation with the SPAG officers and members for the attainment of long-lasting peace.
May the Salaam Police Advocacy Group be a strong and stable partner of our police and have a significant part to contribute and help ease the problems in our society),” he added.
Earlier this month, 85 Salaam volunteers also took their oath as provincial officers in the region.
