3 CPP-NPA-NDF members returns to mainstream society
Three former CPP-NPA members surrendered to the Philippine Army and yielded a total of 22 high-powered firearms in Davao City, Sunday, April 28.
“We are very glad that we are experiencing a turning point in our efforts to promote peace and
development in our country as evidenced by the surge of CPP-NPA members returning to mainstream society. More of our brothers and sisters are finally seeing the futility of an armed struggle and they are now wanting to make a difference. We urge the others who still have reservations to go back to their families and take the government’s offer of benefits and livelihood programs which will allow them to start their lives anew.”
