From the Philippine News Agency (May 21): PAF allots P85-M to maintain 5 combat helicopters
The Philippine Air Force (PAF) is allocating PHP85 million for the acquisition of spares and services needed for the overhaul and repair of five T53 engine assemblies powering its UH-IH/D combat utility helicopters.
Up for engine assembly maintenance are UH-IH/D helicopters with tail numbers 0225, 501, 8306, 929 and 8166.
Pre-bid conference is slated on Friday, 9 a.m. at the PAF Procurement Center Center Conference Room, Villamor Air Base, Pasay City.
While submission of bids is scheduled for June 7, 9 a.m. at the same venue.
"The Philippine Air Force reserves the right to reject any and all bids, declare a failure of bidding, or not award the contract at any time prior to contract award in accordance with Section 41 of RA 9184 and its IRR, without thereby incurring any liability to the affected bidder or bidders," PAF Bids and Awards chair Brig. Gen. Ferynl Buca said in the bid bulletin posted at the Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System website.
The PAF is using its UH-IH/D helicopters for transport, supply and medical evacuation missions.
