From DWDD AFP Civil Relations Service Radio Website (May 21): PRESENTED | AFP presents rebel returnees that led to discovery of arms cache in Quirino
CAMP GEN EMILIO AGUINALDO, Quezon City (DWDD) – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) presented three (3) rebel returnees who returned to the folds of the law last May 16, 2018 at Camp Gen Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
BGen Alan Arrojado, Commander – Joint Task Force NCR, led the Signing and the Oath of Allegiance of the former rebels namely: Rene Intaligando Bernil alias Kim; Ordnance/IED laying, F2, SRC2, SCG; Joel Salva Capilitan alias Jelly, CO, MB, Bager2, F2, SRC2; and Edmar Miranda Jiminez alias Dodong, SL, SRDG2; all from Pantukan, Compostela Valley, last May 16..
The surrenderees led authorities to the recovery of eight (8) high powered firearms composed of two M14 Rifles, four M16 Rifles, one M653 “Baby Armalite” Rifle, one upper receiver of an M16 Rifle, various ammunitions, 15 sets of Police uniforms and 14 pairs of combat boots through the joint efforts of the 5th Infantry “Star” Division, JTF-NCR and Cagayan Valley Police Regional Office at Sitio Calvo, Brgy Dimasungal, Nagtipunan, Quirino on May 19, 2018.
According to BGen Bartolome Vicente O Bacarro, Commander, 502nd Infantry Brigade, the said arms cache was hidden by the members of the Communist NPA Terrorist (CNT) belonging to the Kilusang Larangang Guerilla Quirino-Nueva Vizcaya. AES / MCAG
