CAMP GEN SERVILLANO, Tarlac City (DWDD) – Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM) troopers from the 50^th Infantry Battalion, 5^th Infantry Division, Philippine Army encountered a group of New People’s Army (NPA) at Sitio Dapoog, Brgy Mabaca, Balbalan, Kalinga at about 3:35 PM yesterday, November 8, 2017.

The fierce firefight lasted for several minutes leading to the recovery of five (5) high powered firearms namely three (3) M16 rifle, one (1) M653 rifle, one (1) M14 rifle, assorted ammunition and magazine and subversive documents. No casualty was reported on the government side.

NOLCOM will ensure the peace and stability in its Area of Responsibility. Moreover, NOLCOM will further contribute to the overall effort of the government to neutralize the armed threat, as peace spoilers and enemy of the state, that hinders nation-building and development. NOLCOM PIO / MCAG
