From the Philippine News Agency (Mar 28): 2ID Jungle Fighter Ladies Club shows 'healthy' force on Women’s Month
TANAY, Rizal _ Wives and women soldiers have embarked on a series of health and fitness activities to benefit the troops and their dependents as well as the public in a series of health services at Camp Capinpin here.
1st Lieutenant Xy-zon Meneses, spokesperson of the Philippine Army (PA) 2nd Infantry Division (2ID), said on Monday that the women organizers form the 2ID Jungle Fighter Ladies Club composed of the camp’s Army troopers’ wives, women and female personnel.
Meneses said the activities are part of the military Camp Capinpin’s observance of “National Women’s Month” and the 2ID 41st Anniversary celebration highlights.
Dubbed as "Life Span! Talk. Pamper. Health Check," the activities were conducted over the weekend at the 2nd Army Station Hospital, 2ID headquarters in Camp Capinpin, Tanay, Rizal.
The 2ID Army spokesperson said the medical services included Pap Smear, Breast Examination, Cervical Screening, Breast Ultrasound, Digital Rectal Examination and Prostate Ultrasound examinations.
Soldiers, dependents and indigent patients were also treated to free massage, haircut, and nail care among other health care services.
