The Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) on Friday announced the arrest of the most wanted person in Bicol region.

In a statement, Director Benjamin Magalong, chief of the PNP-CIDG, identified the suspect as Ronnel Arquillo, considered to be the most wanted person in Bicol Region has been nabbed by the combined elements of Masbate CIDT-CIDG led by Police Chief Inspector Edgar Balagso in his hiding place in Mobo, Masbate on Thursday.

Magalong said Arquillo, who is also a member of the NPA Bicol Regional Party Committee, was nabbed on the strength of warrants of arrest issued by Judge Arnel A. Dating of Branch 41, Daet, Camarines Norte for frustrated murder (2 counts) and Judge Sancho Dames II, of RTC Branch 38 in Daet, Camarines Norte for murder.

He added that Arquillo, who has a monetary reward amounting to P800,000, has been turned-over to the court of origin.
