Cotabato City– Manila Bulletin reported today, April 6 that the provincial government of Lanao del Norte, through the Army’s Fourth Mechanized Infantry (Kalasag) Battalion of the Second Mechanized Infantry Brigade, and the municipal government of Munai, distributed relief supplies to Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) communities Saturday, April 4.
A total of 70 50-kilo sacks of rice and financial assistance from Gov. Imelda “Angging” Dimaporo were turned-over and received by Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Commissioner Abdullah “Bravo” Macapaar at Camp Bilal, KuraKura, and the MILF community in Barangay Bacayawan under Aleem Anzari Murrad, the report said.
The operation provided food, and funds for the procurement of medicines and other suppliers that were badly needed by the MILF communities as the local government unit (LGU) implemented enhanced community quarantine due to the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
In his message, Macapaar expressed his gratitude to the government for extending assistance to the communities.
“Makakarating po ito sa sinong may kailangan…Hindi lang ito sa mga military natin, yung iba pang may kailangan sa community, Muslim man o Christian,” said Macapaar.
Aleem Murrad also expressed his heartfelt thanks to the government for looking after the welfare of MILF communities.
“Konti man o malaki ang maibigay ngayon, talagang maraming salamat. Tinatanggap namin yan dahil yung maliit ay magiging malaking tulong (malaki)”, said Murrad.
