Government forces nabbed a follower of Abu Sayyaf militant leader Furuji Indama in a joint operation in Zamboanga City on September 23.

Basilan-based Abu Sayyaf member Amran Dala was arrested by elements of Marine Battalion Landing Team-11 and Police Station 4 in Barangay Mercedes at 9:30pm yesterday.

“Government troops launched the operation against Dala who has a standing arrest warrant for murder,” said Col. Antonio John Divinagracia, Task Force Zamboanga Commander.

“We are firm in pursuing Abu Sayyaf militants and in encouraging other rebels to surrender to quell terrorism and deliver peace and progress in Mindanao,” said Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, commander of Western Mindanao Command.
