MANILA, Philippines — The ad interim appointments of 113 senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) have been recommended for confirmation by a panel of the powerful Commission on Appointments (CA).
CA’s Committee on National Defense approved the recommendation of the AFP officers’ confirmation in a hearing on Wednesday.

The committee also approved a motion to waive the appearance of Petilla, Luzon, Abayon, Calaoa, Babac and Tanap who are in official travel abroad.
The panel’s recommendation would be transmitted for approval at the plenary.
