CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao – A school in Maguindanao town received aid from military troops and non-government organizations yesterday, September 20, 2019.
The Army’s 90th Infantry Battalion under Joint Task Force Central, Social Climbers, Inc. (SCI), and Taga-Cotabato Ka Kung, Inc. (TCKKI) organized a gift giving and feeding program to the students of Capiton Primary School of Datu Odin Sinsuat town as their chosen beneficiary.
During the program, the students prepared a cultural and modern dance number to welcome the organizers of the activity.
The outreach program catered to 74 students from Grades 1 to 4 who received slippers, free haircut service, and supplementary feeding.
The program aimed to provide assistance and uplift the morale of the students who rarely receive aid from the government and non-government institutions.
Ms Cathleya Diocolano of TCKK said that it is their aspiration to provide basic help to the community especially the students who are inspiration to their respective families.
She also thanked the members of TCKK, SCI, Datu Odin Sinsuat Tourism Office, and 90th IB led by Lt. Col. Michael Maquilan for their cooperation and continuous support to their endeavours for the less fortunate communities.
“We will continue to extend assistance to organizations working for youth empowerment and community development in the bangsamoro region,” said Col. Jose Narciso, 601st Infantry Brigade Commander that holds jurisdiction over 90th IB.
“The Joint Task Force Central will strengthen this collaboration for the common aspiration of the Bangsamoro people. We will work with the local government and different sectors to achieve genuine peace and development in the region,” said Maj. Gen. Diosdado C Carreon, Joint Task Force Central Commander.
