CABANATUAN CITY -- Exactly a week after Nueva Ecija declared the Communist Party of the Philippines and its armed wing, the New People’s Army, persona non-grata, four members of the terrorist organization surrendered to the Nueva Ecija police on Monday.
Col. Leon Victor Z. Rosete, provincial police director, said the four rebels who were identified by their aliases as Ka Billy, 70; Ka Igor/Ka Rey, 56, Ka Boy/Ka Blacky, 75 and Ka Boy Basa, 57, all of San Jose City, gave themselves up to the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company under its commander, Lt. Col. Norman C. Cacho.
Rosete said they are now under police custody and undergoing tactical debriefing procedure at the 2nd PMFC.
He said Cacho and his men facilitated the surrender of the four rebels in Bgy. Pinili at 5 p.m. Monday.
